Applications

Semi Synthetic 5W-40 is designed for use in modern 4, 6 & 8+ cylinder, multi-cam, multi-valve (including VVT), naturally aspirated, supercharged & turbocharged engines

It is not recommended for Rotary engines

Semi Synthetic 5W-40 is designed for modern petrol and light duty diesel engines where the use of SAE 5W-30, SAE 10W-30 or SAE 5W-40 grade oils are specified in the owner's handbook

It can be used where API SN is required and where previous API specifications SM (2004-2010), SL (2001-2004) or SJ (1996-2001) were recommended

It can also be used where ILSAC GF-3 / GF-4 / GF-5 grade oils were specified by the manufacturer

Semi Synthetic 5W-40 is suitable for use in LPG and light duty diesel engines where API CF, ACEA A3/B3 or ACEA A3/B4 is recommended and can be used where ACEA A1/B1 (obsolete) and ACEA A5/B5 fuel economy and long service life specifications are requested by the manufacturer

It is NOT suitable for use in diesels fitted with a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) that require an ACEA “C” grade Low-SAPS (Sulphated Ash, Phosphorus & Sulphur) engine oil
