Features

• Nylons are the most widely used engineering plastics; hard, rigid and
  resilient with excellent frictional properties


• Manufactured in different grades, with good mechanical strength,
  abrasion and corrosion resistance, and a high melting point


• Nylon grades are available with fillers (molybdenum disulphide, glass
  fibre and others) to improve certain performance aspects


• Absorption of water increases the dimension, flexibility, impact
  strength and electrical conductivity of nylon parts


• Particularly resistant to hydrocarbons, with exception to phenol,
  detergents and diluted bases and alkalis, but are susceptible to acids


• Moisture and temperature influence strength and stiffness; with rising
  temperature, elastic modulus falls, and elongation at break and extent
  of creep increase


• Annealing and moisture conditioning ensure optimum performance

Applications

• Suitable for use with idler rollers, pinions, guides and chain wheels
